What it does
Projects, scenes and shots
Keep a whole film, episode or commercial in one project. Split it into scenes and drag shots into any order.
Numbering done for you
Shot numbers update by themselves when you move things around. Linked frames stay together as 12a, 12b, 12c.
Alternate cuts
Duplicate a scene as an Alt to try a different cut without touching the original. Make any Alt the primary when you've decided.
Notes, comments and labels
Type notes straight under each frame. Add comments and colour labels, and mark up frames with arrows, boxes and text.
Export for the room
Print-ready PDFs (landscape A4 by default) in a grid or table layout, picture sequences and a shot list.
Safe with your work
Saves as you go, keeps rolling backups and a Recently Deleted list. Your originals are never touched.
Private by design
Story Artist collects nothing. There's no account, no tracking and no analytics, and the app never goes online. Your boards stay on your Mac, which suits confidential jobs. Read the privacy policy.
